Maritime Products


New to the artist's Maritime Products in 2005 is the magnificent montage print from his original watercolour entitled "Titanic - Built in Belfast". This work looks behind the scenes at some of Harland and Wolff's facilities utilised in the construction of the "Titanic". Included in this unique work is:
* 1. The Harland and Wolff Hull - Drawing Office. (Building remains at the site of the Harland and Wolff shipyard.) *
* 2. Smith - Rodley steam cranes. (Used by Harland and Wolff during the construction of the "Titanic". These cranes can still be seen on the banks of the River Lagan adjacent to the site of Slip No.3 where the "Titanic" was built. *
* 3. "Benrather" 200 ton Heavy Lift Crane. A key element in the construction of the "Titanic". *
* 4. "Thompson Dry Dock Pump House" built alongside and to service the Thompson Dry Dock the "Titanic" was dry docked prior to departing from Belfast. The building remains to be seen on the River bank. *
* 5. The "Titanic" *
* 6. The passenger tender "Nomadic" *
* 7. "White Star Line" and Harland and Wolff house flags *


"Titanic - Slipway to Seaway"
Once again the artist has employed a montage technique when undertaking this watercolour work. Comprising of five elements the print includes:

"20th Century Island"
Endorsed by, and accepted into the Harland and Wolff Maritime Heritage Collection, this work was completed as a tribute to Belfast shipbuilders Harland and Wolff and all those who worked at its Queen's Island Shipyard. Depicted in the print are vessels representing work undertaken in each of the decades of the 20th Century, from passenger liners and cross channel ferries to warships, and from deep sea cargo liners to modern oil related vessels. Ships illustrated are:
